For over a century, they have been prepared during local festivities following the traditional recipe. They appear white, sweet, and knobby, and are considered as delicious as sugared almonds. Around a hundred years ago, they were awarded the Gold Medal at the Paris Flavor Fair, but despite this prestigious recognition, they remain a strictly local product.
